Hi, Ashley! Glad to know a new friend also interested at J-doll~! ^_^

I'll add some picture to help me to answer your question as possible as I can--.

1. You mentioned they break easily??
How do they break? Like Do they crack? Or do
the arms and legs fall off?

A: Yes! I'll say they are easily broken than most of the articulated doll.

My J-doll's wrist got cracked without any reason. I just found it like this one day when I took her out of the drawer. :(

Here's the picture; her right hand-.

Then, a friend told me her J-doll had the same broken wrist, and another friend's J-doll gets a broken foot.

As for the arms or legs falling off, I haven't heard people complain that yet --.

2. Quality wise would you say they are as good a quality
as Fashion Royalty? Or Barbie, or Takara jenny?

A: Lousier than all the bodies you mentioned. Also lousier than Momoko's body.

3. Do they have the same exact body as pullip?

A: Yes, J-Doll use the same body just like today's Pullip. Pullip have changed their body before. Now Pullip gets the 3rd generation body, and that is exactly same with J-doll.

Here's the picture of her body~.

Somehow there is still the way to rescue a defected J-doll ~ .

Not sure if you were familiar with Obitsu's body.
Here is the link: http://www.parabox.jp/eng/obitsu.html

You can pull out the limbs from a 27 cm high Obitsu's body (with white skin tone ) then put them into J-doll's body. They can fit.

My J-doll has already changed her limbs to Obitsu's limbs.
This operation makes her knees seem to be a little strange, but a a panty can cover that.

(In this picture, I use the normal skin tone Obitsu body, therefore you can see the color difference. The Obitsu body with white skin tone will be no problem. )

Thought J-doll has those defects, I still like this doll quite much. She really got a lovely face after all!

Share with you this link from my friend; an introduction of many J-dolls, and several photos of the real dolls:

And, if you like to customize dolls, J-doll is great to re-style!

You can tear off her hair, open her head, add the eyelash, and change her eyeball!

Welcom for further discussion! ^_^
And looking forward to see your new J-doll~.
